FOR the ultimate luxury getaway, celebrities and royals are now buying entire private islands for their holidays.
And you can now rent one out – but be warned, they don’t come cheap.
Real estate agent Vladi Private Islands offers islands for sale and to rent from all around the world.
Sun Online Travel have rounded up some of the best private islands for rent through Vladi Private Islands, starting from £1,222 per night.
Thanda Island, Tanzania
Costing £7,600 per night for ten people, guests can rent the whole of Thanda Island, which includes staff members on hand to look after you.
Located in the Shungi Mbili Island Marine Reserve, the area is protected, which means there are stunning beaches and marine life to explore.
The island offers luxury at its finest, with an indoor aquarium, Steinway grand piano, cigar humidor and freshly cooked Tanzanian meals.
The island, which stands for “love” in Zulu, is just a 45 minute flight from Tanzania mainland.
This private island in Ibiza is just 900m from the coastline yet offers 98 acres of privacy, which guests such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Ronnie Wood have taken advantage of before.
Designed for up to ten people, the five bedroom villa has double suites with en suite bathrooms, as well as a pool, beach bar and speaker system.
The kitchen also has full staff, including a private cook, waiting staff and housekeeping.
Guests who want to look after themselves can take advantage of a personal trainer in the gym or explore the country paths on the island.
Song Saa, Cambodia
Song Saa are two private islands lying next to each other in the Koh Rong Archipelago of Cambodia.
The island features 27 luxury over-water villas, with both jungle and ocean view.
Each feature king size beds, mini wine cellars and outdoor showers, as well as a restaurant and lounge.
Costing a daily rate of £1,222 for two people in one of the villas, the fee also includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, alcohol and daily snacks.
Guests are also given free transfers from Sihanoukville, which takes just 30 minutes by speed boat.
Musha Cay, Bahamas
As one of the most expensive private islands in the world, and owned by David Copperfield, it costs a whopping £29,000 per day for up to 12 people.
However, the choice of accommodation ranges from a 10,000 square foot manor house on the hill to a thatched roof beach-side hut.
There are 30 members of staff on the island, as well as a number of ski boats and jet skis to enjoy.
Guests are advised to fly into Miami, with it just 40 minutes by plane to the island from there.
Necker Island, British Virgin Islands
Despite damage from the 2017 hurricane, the island owned by Virgin Atlantic’s Richard Branson is still popular.
It has since re-opened to guests who can stay in the Great House, with six double rooms and a junior suite, or in the Balinese houses which overlook the cliffs.
However, visitors certainly won’t be bored – tennis, windsurfing, diving, water-skiing, and horse riding are all available on the island, along with daily activities such as treasure hunts or beach Olympics.
With previous guests including Barack and Michelle Obama, special rates are currently available for £19,250 a week.
Isla Sa Ferradura, Spain
Also in Ibiza is Isla Sa Ferradura, an islet connected by a small beach.
However, the retreat welcomes up to 18 guests, which features a rooftop terrace, bars, a DJ mixing desk and a stage for private concerts.
Chilled guests can also spend time at the spa, which includes a plunge pool, hot tub, sauna, steam bath and massage room, along with a gym and yoga.
As it is connected to Ibiza, visitors can fly straight to the island before transferring directly to the villa.
Fregate Island, Seychelles
Costing £3,455 a night, the private island is popular with animal lovers and conservationists.
On the island are hundreds of birds, as well as free-roaming Giant Aldabra tortoises.
Each of the 17 luxury homes have a private pool, sundeck and outdoor shower. Guest can even island hop to explore other regions in the Seychelles.
The island is just 90 minutes by boat from the Seychelles Airport on Mahé.
